A combination of community involvement, highly experienced and qualified staff, and a safe and happy environment for learning, makes Battisford Pre School the ideal starting point for your child’s educational journey.
Battisford Pre School is a small and friendly committee run group, set up more than 40 years ago to meet the needs of this rural area. We are a registered charity operating in Battisford village hall and can provide places for up to 20 children at each session. We operate 5 days per week during term time, have good disabled access and toilet facilities and a safe, secure outdoor area which we are able to use in all weathers. We have established links with all local Primary Schools to aid transitions. We also run a stay and play session every Friday for under 2`s with their parent/ carer to give children an opportunity to take part in the range of activities that we have on offer as well as giving parents and carers an insight into how the preschool operates and an opportunity to meet other parents and carers.
The Pre School is registered and regularly inspected by Ofsted and is a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance (PLA). We also operate as part of Suffolk County Council’s Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership which enables eligible children in our care to receive Government funding.
Qualified and dedicated staff members are employed to plan the curriculum, manage and run the sessions, but ultimately the Pre School belongs to the people that use it. They are responsible for the way it is organised and elect a committee from the parents/carers of those attending the Pre School to represent them.
It is this combined approach that makes Battisford Pre School such a special place
